In 1995 when Judy relocated to Tallahassee she continued to pet sit for co-workers and friends (by referral only) in the evenings and on weekends. Finally she decided that the time was right to start her own pet sitting business and Auntie Jude's was opened full-time.

Judy and Bill have 5 dogs and 8 cats who stay "working????" in the office all the time.  Ole Bullit is in charge of security.  Lexi is in charge of Accounts Payable. Sadie is in charge of Accounts Receivable, and Marshmellow and Trixie are in Public Relations.  The cats run the cafeteria and the employee lounge.  Uncle Bill (that's Judy's husband) keeps everybody happy including Judy. 

You may wonder why it is Auntie Jude's and not Auntie Judy's.  Well the story behind that is Judy used to own a Record Store years back and her friends would always come in singing "Hey Jude" so when she starting pet sitting for Diane's Critter Sitters, she would sign her notes Auntie Jude and it just stuck.  It seemed only fitting to name the business Auntie Jude's after all those notes. That may not make much sense, but that's the reason for the name. So the next time you hear the Beatle's tune, think of Auntie Jude's and the next time you need a pet sitter, just call Auntie Jude's. 

Currently, Judy and Bill are the only staff working outside of the office, but as the need arises and clients are added, Auntie Jude's hopes to add additional pet sitters that share the philosophy and standards that Judy adheres to.
